What is HUG?
Hug is a community partnership dedicated to supporting ALL expectant and adopting families and families with children who are newborns up to age two. The first few months of life are very important to the healthy development of your baby. Discover what you can do to build a strong foundation for your baby's future learning and growth.
HUG provides no-cost, one-on-one time with a licensed Early Childhood Family Parent Educator in the comfort of your home or another community location of your choice.
Home visits can be tailored to the goals of each family. Home visits include a gift packet of community resources, a book by Jackie Silberg, 101 Brain Games for Baby ( or Toddler) and current parenting and brain-based learning tools.
The birth or adoption of your child is a very special and joyful event. It can also be a time filled with questions and concerns about your new baby, your family and yourself. Sometimes it is nice to have someone to talk with for support before or after your baby arrives. To arrange a home visit, please call or email Melodie Hanson, HUG coordinator.
