Robbinsdale Area Schools is an award-winning district committed to excellence in academics. We take pride in the choice we provide for families and for students, and we believe in lifelong learning, both for our students and for our staff. Our students in grades K-12 are encouraged to discover their potential in academics, the arts, science and technology, and more.
Robbinsdale Area Schools serves approximately 12,000 students from seven communities in the northwest suburbs of the Twin Cities. We are an Advanced Placement Achievement District, and our high schools have been ranked as some of the best high schools in the nation. We are home to one of the largest Advanced Placement programs in the state of Minnesota, and have a fully-authorized K-12 International Baccalaureate continuum as well. We also have a well-established and well-respected Spanish Immersion program, with a K-5 Spanish Immersion magnet school and a 6-8 Spanish Immersion magnet program.
We operate ten elementary schools for students in grades K-5, two middle schools for grades 6-8 and two high schools for 9-12. The district also has an alternative high school, Highview Alternative Program, for students who have left a traditional high school program but have the desire and commitment to earn a high school diploma. Our rich educational opportunities span the range from birth through adulthood, providing the opportunity to learn year round.

All of our schools offer a wide array of co-curricular programs, such as our nationally-recognized Lego League and Destination ImagiNation, and our state-winning MathMasters teams. We offer fabulous opportunities during the school day as well, including pre-engineering programs such as Project Lead the Way, and quality music programs, including orchestra beginning in fourth grade.
